Slashdot.com was an interesting website to say the least, and I felt it was for "smart" people. Much of the material was completely over my head.  I am always envious of the people who are much more aware than myself of current issues and modern technology. In a way I felt it was a sort of "Facebook" for nerds. When I say nerds I mean it in the highest esteem, because we all know it is the nerds who most often succeed in life and even become wealthy. Of course it was interesting and informative, and I almost wish I would spend more time looking at websites that actually tackle real life stuff with it seems limited drama, but then again I probably wont.
